Reserves
|
Often professors will place materials on reserve. This ensures equal access to the materials for all members of a class. At Renfro Library, these materials are available at the Circulation Services Desk. Most are available for three hours in the library building.

For Students: Using Reserve Items |
Materials on reserve in the library are available at the Circulation Services Desk. To borrow these items, you must have your current MHC ID with you. Each reserve item has a reserve code, which specifies the length of time it can be borrowed, and whether it can be used outside the library. Most items may be borrowed for 3 hours and are used in the library only. Possible reserve codes are as follows:
- A: 3-hour / in-library use only
Reserve items are checked out for use in the library in three hour
time intervals. Materials are not allowed to leave the library.
- B: 3-hour / overnight
Reserve items are circulated for three hour time intervals during the
day. For overnight use, they may be checked out at 10:00pm and are
due at 9:00am the following day.
- C: 3-day
Materials are due 72 hours after they are checked out.
