Computer
research stations |
The eight computers in the center of the main floor are reserved for library research.
Sixteen public computer workstations are available throughout the main floor of the library for personal e-mail correspondence, word processing, etc. |

Groups and group use of study rooms |
Campus groups or organizations that wish to meet in the library must receive prior permission and must be accompanied and supervised by their advisor or coach. Informal groups of two or more are requested to use one of the six group study rooms. Those rooms are reserved in advance, or are available on a first-come-first-served basis. |

MHC ID cards |
Your MHC ID must be presented to borrow books and to add photocopy, ILL or fax charges to your library account. |

Check-out of library materials |
Library materials must be checked out before they are removed from the building. Willfully attempting to leave with materials that are not checked out is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct, college policy and state law. The library staff has the right to search a patron's possessions for library materials. |

Confidentiality and
Renfro Library |
All library patron records are protected by law and are strictly confidential. For instance, the identity of the patron who has a particular book checked out cannot be revealed. Likewise, the list of books a patron has checked out cannot be revealed. Please do not ask a library worker to violate this principle. |

Overdue and lost materials |
There is no fine for overdue library materials. Your library privileges will be blocked until overdue materials are returned.
At the end of the semester, overdue items are reported to the Business Office as a $50 replacement charge for most items. If an item is returned after being lost, the replacement charge is reduced to a $10 service charge.
Patrons who have not paid charges reported to the Business Office may not borrow items or make additional charges to their accounts until those fines have been paid in full. |

Food,
drink and tobacco |
Food and tobacco products are prohibited in the library, however, you may bring in covered drinks. Click here to view the complete statement. |

Bicycles,
scooters and skateboards |
Bicycles, scooters and skateboard may not be ridden in the library. Bicycles should be left at the bicycle rack outside the library, and scooters and skateboards should be carried while you are in the library. |
