MHC ID cards
Your MHC ID must be presented to borrow books and to add photocopy, ILL or fax charges to your library account.

Renewals
Renewing a book is an option if you need it beyond its original due date. Renewing books also helps you avoid overdue charges.  In order to renew a book, it must be brought to the Circulation Services Desk.

In general, one renewal per item is allowed.  However, if a book is on hold for another patron, it cannot be renewed.

Hold requests
If you want an item that is already charged to a patron, it can be placed "on hold" so you will be notified as soon as the item is returned.  Items recalled or placed on hold are kept on the Hold Shelf behind the Circulation Services Desk.  Once a book is placed on hold, it cannot be renewed.

Book-drop
The book drop next to the front entrance of the library is open when the library is closed.

Group study rooms
There are six rooms on the main floor of the library available to students for group study on a first come first served basis.

Photocopies
Photocopy machines are available in the library. Copies are 7 cents per page. MHC students may charge the cost of the copies to their MHC library account, to be paid in full at the end of each semester.
